Meet the Team

As Dashing Hounds, we are always striving to take the best care of your dog and offer any recommendations for grooming and/or training.

We stay up-to-date on products and tools for dog grooming and attend seminars for improving our skills whenever possible.

We always want you to feel comfortable leaving your family member with us and hope we can build a lasting relationship with you and your pet.

  • Founder

Maria has been professionally grooming dogs since 2015, starting off as a bather and completing an apprenticeship where she was introduced to the basics of hair cutting. Over the years, she has worked on her scissoring skills as well as how she can ensure the dog on her table can feel at most comfort. She enjoys working with anxious dogs and elderly dogs as they both need a calming hand. She has patience for it all and always strives to treat your dog as it was her own. Overall she enjoys giving cute & practical pet trims and challenges herself with poodle specialty cuts.

Maria volunteers her time with SPIN (Standard Poodles in Need), giving them freshen ups while in foster care. If you are considering a new dog please consider rescuing a poodle as theres tons that need new homes!

  • Fanny is an ambitious entrepreneur, as she actually owns the floral shop next door; Zoo Flowers. She often comes to lounge on our couch and keeps the play going. We love having her around! She is a 1-year-old Standard Poodle and we have fun giving her poodle cuts!

  • Assistant

Jason is a 7-year-old Dachshund that is the inspiration behind Dashing Hounds. Considering his breed, he is a natural born man of confidence. He has a presence unlike any other- he can offer calm and comfort to any person that greets him. He can also pump his gears and chase squirrels with exceptional drive.

Jason has regular baths and nail trims but does wonder sometimes why he doesn’t grow hair like the others!

  • Cefa belongs to assistant Tas and has quite the roll at DH! He is the official greeter, door man if you will.

He is a 2 year old Beagle and has the most impressive snout. Watch your lunch!
